Pro Refrigeration is up and running in Mocksville – ahead of plans to create 85 new jobs and invest nearly $5 million. With employees at the company’s first site in Auburn, Wash. watching via video, North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory joined local officials and family members of employees at an open house here last week. The company makes chillers for the beer, wine, dairy and whiskey industries, and CEO Jim Vander Giessen Jr. saw the success in the West and decided to make a move to the East. “We’ve got a great team of people here,” he said, offering “cheers” to customers, suppliers, employees, families and communities. “Our North Carolina crew is top notch.
