COOLEEMEE – A Mocksville woman asleep in the wrong house was arrested Dec. 15, as were four others who were in the house she thought she was in.

A couple called police saying that someone was “passed out” in a bed in a house on Watt St.

Officers awoke the woman, Rebecca Lynn Drake, 24, of Howardtown Road, who said she thought she was in someone else’s house across the street.

The new problem? The people who she said were responsible for the house across the street were not supposed to be there either, according to investigation results by Officer Shawn M. Breitzman.

When officers went to that house, the door “flung open” and they could see four people at a table with a bag of marijuana. None of the suspects would admit to owning the marijuana.

Drake was charged with resisting arrest, after repeatedly refusing to obey officers’ commands, Breitzman reported.

Charged with trespassing, possession than less than a half ounce of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia (scales), were: Samuel Robert Watson III, 26, of Junction Road; Labron Ramick Mayfield, 28, of Duke St., Christopher Ryan Carter, 25, of Watt St., and Larry TJuan Dillard, 25, of Boger Road, Mocksville.

Mayfield was also cited on a warrant for failing to pay child support.

Court dates were set for Jan. 26.
