Loretta Abshire, 56, of Mocksville, died unexpectedly on Oct. 8, 2019.

She was born on Feb. 27, 1963 in Pikeville, Ky., a daughter to the late Lawson Abshire and Anna Ruth Polley Abshire. She attended Feds Creek High School in Kentucky and did clerical work for Jockey for 17 years.

Survivors: sons, Waylon Webb and Johnathan Webb (Courtney), and daughter, Amanda Abshire, all of Mocksville; brothers, David Abshire of Mocksville, William Abshire (Brenda) of Cooleemee; sisters, Anna Abshire Webb and Melissa Abshire of Mocksville, Sue Abshire Shrewsberry (Carl) of Yadkinville, and Rose Mary Daniels; niece, Therese Smith; and 5 grandchildren, Maliyah, Jaylon and Addison Abshire and Haylie and Ella Webb.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, Oct. 11, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Davie Funeral Service Chapel in Mocksville. A private family funeral service will be held later.
