Ms. Dorothy Smith, 98, of Mocksville, died on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

She was born Feb. 26, 1921  in Davie Count, to Bragg Anderson and Ollie Theodosia Foster Smith. She graduated from high school in 1939. She was a homemaker and was a member of North Main Street Church of Christ.

Survivors: nieces, Joan Wyatt of Mocksville, Sandra Taylor of San Tan Valley, Ariz., Wanda McCullar of Mesa, Ariz., Teresa Booth of San Tan Valley, and Faith Muir of Scottsdale, Ariz.; nephews, George Grafe of Cottonwood, Ariz., Kenneth Grafe of San Tan Valley, Kyle Grafe and Dennis Grafe of Mocksville, Ricky Grafe of Mesa; and cousin, Sue Eudy Smith of Cooleemee.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4 in the Jericho Church of Christ Cemetery with the Dr. Tom Torpy officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
