Cancer Survivor’s Story One Worth Sharing

Without a doubt everyone knows someone whose life has been touched by cancer, as have I.  
Linda Trudgeon is a familiar face in my life and I knew she was a cancer survivor.  It wasn’t until recently that I learned the story of her battle with cancer. Her story is so special to me I thought it deserved to be shared with everyone.    
As with so many, Linda’s chronicle with cancer began in 1994 during a routine visit to her family doctor for an annual checkup. Even though she did routine self-exams, her doctor found a lump. Linda explained that she thought she was feeling a rib during her self-exams.She related that she learned that, “Examining myself when I am soaped-up in the shower is a more effective way to do the self-exam.”
Technology was to fail as the mammogram did not show the suspect lump as a mass, but her doctor was suspicious and scheduled a return visit in three months. On her return visit the …
