Calvary Baptist Church invites everyone to a spaghetti dinner at noon Sunday, Feb. 11 in the fellowship hall.  Donations for missions will be accepted.

Clarksbury Methodist Church will have an “Ash Wednesday” service at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14.

Our community sends congratulations to Cool Spring Elementary School, its art classes, and fifth grader Nora Boots. Nora won 1st place in the N.C. Scholastic Visual Arts Showcase in media, and the school won third place. The students’ art teacher is Lauren Lewis, an active member of Clarksbury Methodist. Lauren, all of us are proud of you and your students. Keep up the great work.

Shirley Lewis remains in rehab at Bermuda Village of Davie but was hoping to be able to be home this week.  Caleb Williams continues immunotherapy treatments at Wake Forest Baptist Brenner Children’s Hospital, and Caroline Jones continues radiation treatments at Chapel Hill.

Join us in prayer for the Lord’s divine healing and blessings upon Shirley, Caleb, Caroline, and others who are having health problems.

Remember in prayer the Rev. Bobby and Ann Jones, former pastoral couple at Pleasant View Baptist Church;  his sister Faye Jones Barnes died Sunday, Jan. 28 at Yadkin Nursing Center.
