The Mocksville-Davie Recreation basketball season began Dec. 9. The rec department will recognize players, coaches and teams each week. Here are the honorees from week one.

K-1 Division: player – Safyia Brown; coach – Brittany Tugwell; team – Megalodons.

2-3 Division: player – Owen Heggerick; coach – Jeremy Stanley; team – Stampede.
