The Davie County Historical and Genealogical Society will meet on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. in the Martin-Wall History Room of Davie County Public Library on North Main Street in Mocksville.
The program will be presented by Marie Craig about her most recent book, “Davie Sheriffs.” She will describe some of the 30 sheriffs who have served since 1837 and some of the more interesting side careers and political scenarios of early times in Davie.
The public is invited.
Books will be available for sale at this meeting and other times at the library.
