Davie’s JV volleyball team went 2-2 between Sept. 9-14. In a road match, the War Eagles beat West Iredell in three sets. One day after losing at West Forsyth, Davie dropped a three-set battle at Grimsley.

“We struggled in set one with serving/serve-receive,” coach Tabatha Lyons said. “But we turned it around (in the second set).” Grimsley took the third set 15-11.

In the fourth match in six days, Davie (7-4 overall, 4-2 CPC) had an easy time against visiting Parkland. Freshman Avery Mallory served every point in a 25-0 set.
