It’s vacation Bible school (VBS) time. Piney Grove AME Zion held its VBS last week and Clarksbury Methodist will have their VBS the first week of August.  Society had VBS SundayWednesday of this week.

As photos show, the hot humid weather did not deter the success of Piney Grove’s VBS and Society’s VBS Kick-Off.

Upcoming community events: vacation Bible school at Clarksbury Church 5:30-8 p.m. Monday, July 31-Friday, Aug. 4 with supper; country ham and sausage breakfast sponsored by the V-Point Ruritans from 7-10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5; and ice cream social hosted by Calvary Baptist Wednesday, Aug. 9.

Mildred Beck has improved and is in rehab at Davie Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Alice Waugh remains in rehab at Davie Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Join us in prayer for the Lord’s divine healing upon Mildred, Alice, and others who have health problems.

Remember in prayer Rosetta Smyre, whose sister Lois Novella Dawkins died Sunday of last week.  Please continue to pray for the Lord’s divine healing of young Caleb Williams and the Lord’s guidance and support for his parents Perry and Vickie Williams as they seek medical treatment for Caleb.
