Mocksville woman charged with exploiting child

A nearly two-month investigation has led to the arrest of a Mocksville woman for first-degree exploitation of a minor.

Kimberly Cass, of 154 Cane Mill Drive, Mocksville, was charged by the Davie Sheriff’s Office in early April with one count of first-degree exploitation of a minor and one count of disseminating harmful material to a minor. She was taken into custody in lieu of a $50,000 bond.

The investigation started on Feb. 9, when the sheriff’s office was notified of the situation by the Department of Social Services.
