Sports Briefs: All CPC selections made

All-CPC Selections

Senior London Dirks; juniors Sydney Dirks, Summer Simpson and Melanie Gobble; and sophomore Audrea Fowler made the All-Central Piedmont Conference team from Davie softball.

Senior Bayden Hazlip, junior Parker Aderhold and freshman Coy James were named all-conference from Davie baseball.

Junior Burke Rosenbaum was the CPC Player of the Year in tennis. Two teammates – senior C Crenshaw and junior Bryce Bailey – earned all-conference honors.

Senior Katie Shupe and freshman Jaden Sink made it in soccer. Sink was also selected to the all-region team.

Sophomore goalie Danika Williams made the All-CPC team in girls lacrosse.

Benefit Golf Tournament

The second benefit golf tournament for Karl “Krazy Legs” Swartz will be June 17 at The Revival Golf Course at the Crescent in Salisbury. The cost is $260 for a foursome. Lunch will be provided at noon with tee time at 1:30. Donations are welcome to help raise money for Swartz’s power chair. Contact Randall at 336-970-3350.

Davie Girls Basketball Camp

The Davie girls basketball camp will be July 25-28 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. for kindergarten through eighth graders. The cost will be $75 per camper if registered by June 25; $100 after early registration. Davie Soccer Camp

The Davie soccer camp will run July 18-20 from 8-11:30 a.m. for rising third through eighth graders. This camp is for girls and boys. The cost is $60 if you register by July 1; $80 at the door. For more information, contact coach Corbin Kopetzky at

Davie Wrestling Camp

The Davie wrestling camp will be held July 18-22 from 8 a.m.-noon with two divisions – third-fifth graders in one and sixth-12th graders in another. The cost is $75 if you preregister and $100 at the door. For more information, contact coach Perry Long at
