Thanksgiving is a warm and happy time for family and friends to gather to enjoy the fall harvest. May we remember those who may wonder what they will have to eat on that day as many other days may be the same for them.
My memories of Thanksgiving include the swirling mixtures of different aromas. Pie crust, homemade stuffing balls, giblet gravy, and oh the yeast rolls. Snacking before wasn’t allowed for we all had to wait until the last stir and fluff was complete.
There’s nothing like having family sitting together at a table. A lot of my family will not be present but the memories will help fill the void. I hope that’s the case for you, too.
Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. After everyone has eaten and enjoyed a short nap, have rakes waiting for everyone to help gather those leaves. Now that’s smart.
