Hole In One For Brock
Wee Brock of Farmington got a hole in one on No. 12 at Pudding Ridge on Sept. 20. The par-3 played 122 yards, and Brock used a 7-iron for his second career ace. Witnesses were Bobby Luffman, Brian Smith and David Sain.
Hole In One For Seager
Mocksville’s Jerry Seager, 84, got his first hole in one last week at Silo Run in Yadkin County. The par-3 hole was 110 yards.
Varsity Soccer Loses
Davie’s varsity soccer team lost 9-0 at home to Mt. Tabor on Oct. 18 and 5-1 at West Forsyth on Oct. 20. The goal against West was scored by junior Peter Marks. It came on a dual assist from freshmen Alex Tarbet and Alex DelCarmen. The halftime score was 1-1 against the Titans, who pulled away in the second half.
JV Soccer Falls
Davie’s JV soccer team lost 7-1 to Tabor and 9-0 to West Forsyth. The goal was scored by freshman Mason Tarbet.
