The number of Davie residents testing positive for COVID has declined to its lowest number in a couple of months, although the number of those who died with the virus continues to increase.
On Monday, Davie Health & Human Services listed 80 active cases in Davie, compared to 115 a week earlier. Those who have died with the virus climbed from 93 to 96.
Of those testing positive Oct. 25: 18 were age 65 or older; 16 age 50-64; 24 age 25-49; 9 age 18-24; and 13 under age 17.
A total of 52 percent of Davie residents have been fully vaccinated against COVID, while 55 percent have received at least one dose.
Vaccines, and booster shots, are available at the health and human services department on Farmington Road, as well as at many pharmacies and local health care providers.
Those who have been fully vaccinated may be eligible for a booster dose. People can now receive any COVID-19 vaccine brand for their booster vaccine.
