Sibyl Margaret Ballantine, 80, of Mocksville, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021 at her home.
She was born Sept. 28, 1941 in Detroit, Mich. to the late Edward and Rugh Lange.
Because her husband was in the military, she lived in several states in the United States, as well as in Scotland and Germany. She especially enjoyed sharing stories of her life abroad. She moved to North Carolina in 1996 and spent the remainder of her life here. She was a member of Fork Baptist Church and the Senior Ladies Sunday School class. She loved the Lord and her church family and cherished the many friendships blessed with there.
She was also preceded in death by: her sister, Susan Schilbe; her brother, Brian Lange; and a special friend, Jimmy Richardson.
Survivors: 2 daughters, Cindi Clarke of West Virginia, and Katriana Braley and husband Luke of Virginia; her son, Kenneth Clarke and wife Jo of Georgia; 4 grandchildren, Ethan and Jordon Wilhelm and Abigail and Tammy Clarke; a sister, Nancy Clarke of Arizona; her cat, “Pepper;” and many friends.
She will be remembered most for her big heart, a love of sending cards and her jovial personality.
Per her request, no services will be held.
