Gregory Donnell “Boone” Peoples, 59, of Cooleemee, died on Oct. 17, 2021 from his home in Davie County.
He was born on Jan. 5, 1962 in Davidson County, son of Mozel Joyce (Peebles) Key and the late Millard Peoples Jr. He was also preceded in death by a son, Quincy Donnell Redmon.
He graduated from Davie County Schools, attended New Life Ana Baptist, and enjoyed tinkering on stuff (especially cars), fishing, listening to music, and his speakers.
Survivors: a mother, Mozel Key of Mocksville; a son, Jeffrey S. Redmon of Mocksville; 2 brothers, Stephon Lloyd Peoples (Elaine) of Woodleaf, and Ronnie Dale Peoples (Patricia) of Mocksville; 2 sisters, Cynthia Peoples Arnold (Michael Sr.) of Mocksville and Teresa Peoples Tenor (Rodney Sr.) of Mocksville; 5 grandchildren, Kama’at, Akil, Raya, Dallas, and Jazell; special friends, Jill, Johnny Arnold, Carl Watkins, Marion Johnson, and Bryant Wilson; and, a host of uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
A visitation was held on Thursday, Oct. 21 from 3-7 p.m. at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville. A funeral service was held on Friday, Oct. 22 at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksvilleat 1 p.m., officiated by Ronnie Peoples.
