Davie County will host a community conversation session on Sept. 27 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Davie County Senior Center, 278 Meroney St, Mocksville.

The purpose will be to garner input from residents about community priorities. The discussion will be facilitated by Fountainworks, a consulting firm from Raleigh.

Residents can play a major advocacy role in the continuance of strategic initiatives and funding priorities for the county.

Fountainworks will facilitate online stakeholder focus groups for a more in-depth conversation. These focus group meetings are tentatively planned for October.

Input from the community is needed to continually update and refine the county’s strategic goals and budgeting priorities. Fountainworks will collect data to allow for quantitative and qualitative results. The firm will analyze the focus group and community conversation reports and compile data from all stakeholder input. Fountainworks will prepare a summary based on the input from the survey and focus groups. The written document will include information about overall input across all groups, as well as highlight any special needs or differing input between the different types of stakeholders.
