Saturday concert to include salute to first responders

The Town of Bermuda Run and Davie County Arts Council will host the final free outdoor summer concert on Saturday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m.
Special Occasion Band will bring its variety of songs, especially folks’ favorite beach music.
For more than 35 years Special Occasion Band has been entertaining young and old all over the Carolinas.
Members of the group ares: Gary Warren, saxophone, lead and background vocals; Ben Rhodes, drums, lead and background vocals; Brian Fink, lead, rhythm guitar, lead and background vocals; Lindsay Owen, bass guitar, lead and background vocals; and Mike Jenkins, keyboards.
The concert will start with a short period of recognition and honor to the importance of 9/11 in United States history.
Attendees need to bring a lawn chair, and if they wish a picnic/cooler, to Town Center at the end of Kinderton Boulevard.
