County rescinds state of emergency order

WHEREAS, Davie County has been operating under various State of Emergency Proclamations due to the COVID-19 pandemic since March 16, 2020, as declared by the Chairman of the Davie County Board of Commissioner; and,
WHEREAS, Davie County is still under a Statewide Emergency Proclamation by Governor Roy Cooper; and,
WHEREAS, Davie County has now been declared a “green” county by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services and no longer has a high risk of infection of COVID-19 of its’ citizens by the virus.
NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to Article 1 of Chapter 166A and Article 36A of the North Carolina General Statutes and pursuant to authority granted by the Davie County Code or Ordinance, it is resolved, declared, and ordered that the prior State of Emergency Proclamation of March 16, 2020 and all subsequent State of Emergency Proclamations which modified same are hereby rescinded.
Effective date Tuesday, June 16, 2021, at 8 a.m.
