Mrs. Mary Wilma McDaniel Holder, 83, died on Monday, May 24, 2021 after an extended illness.

She was born on July 5, 1937 in Mocksville to Guy “Bill” O. McDaniel and Lillie McClamrock McDaniel. She graduated from Davie County High School. She married Gilbert Holder, who died in 2004. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Mocksville. She retired from Hanes/Sara Lee Corp. after 33 years and loved to travel with Singleton Tours.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Sanford Holder.

Surviving: her brother, George Douglas McDaniel (Susan); niece, Angie Mork (Phil); nephew, Scott McDaniel (Amber); great-nieces, Samantha McDaniel, Savannah McDaniel, and Lauren Mork; great-nephews, Alex Mork and Ryan McDaniel; and numerous cousins and in-laws.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 28 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory with Pastor Will Pryor officiating.
