The new Kiwanis Club of Mocksville is having the second in a series of information get togethers at the Davie County Library on May 27 at 6:30 p.m.

Joanne LeDonne, new club opener, stated that the Kiwanis mission statement is “Kiwanis is an international organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.”

Chris White, president of the Carolinas District of Kiwanis, says it simply: “Kiwanis needs kids and kids need Kiwanis.”

LeDonne stressed that Kiwanis needs good people. She’s asking that any good hearted Mocksville and Davie residents attend to learn what Kiwanis can do for this community.
