Called a Battle of the Badges – VFW Post 8719 in Advance will sponsor an American Red Cross blood drive from 1-5:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22.

Firefighters, law enforcement officers and EMS are invited to take part in the battle.

The post is at 130 Feed Mill Road, just off NC 801.
