Ms. Kimella Cope Thompson, 52, of Advance, died on  Dec. 21, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.

Ms. Thompson was born Aug. 26, 1968 in Davie County to Roger B. and Wanda Carter Cope. She was a Christian and loving mother and grandmother, enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.   

Survivors: her parents of Advance; her daughters, Melissa Casstevens and husband Jason of Jonesville and Megan Hanks of Mocksville; a son, Michael Hanks of Advance; 2 grandchildren, Bryson Hanks and Zayne Catstevens; and a brother, Darrell Cope of Advance.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
