Mr. Clifton Dewey Cooper, 85, of Pine Forest Lane, Mocksville, died Thursday, July 2, 2020 at his home.

He was born on October 2, 1934, in Blount County, Tenn. to the late Clarice Dewey and Marjorie Ruth Whitaker Cooper. Mr. Cooper was a member of North Point Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. He was the founder of Advanced Appliance Service in Old Town and then started Advanced Commercial Refrigeration in Mocksville. Mr. Cooper had been an airplane pilot and enjoyed tennis, water skiing, bowling, golf and softball.

He was also preceded in death by: his wife of 63 years, Wilma Jean Teffeteller Cooper; and a brother, Charles Franklin Cooper.

Survivors: 3 daughters; Linda Shouse (Timothy), Dianna Walker and Kathy Armstrong (Ronald), all of Mocksville; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Carl Ozell Cooper (Doris) of Lewisville and Perry Lynn Cooper (Diane) of East Bend; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 7 at Eaton Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Terry Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
