Join Deep Roots Community Garden, which offers classes on planting, harvesting, preparing and preserving the foods you grow.

Call 336-492-2360 or email godsgarden1125@gmail.com and sign up for a garden plot.  There are two garden locations: one on Clement Street in Mocksville and one adjacent to the Storehouse For Jesus, off  US 64 E. in Mocksville.

The garden season runs from April 1-Oct. 31. Rent a 4- by 12-foot raised bed for $15 for the growing season.  Gardens are open from 8 a.m. to dusk daily.
