Emma Jean Walker Green, 75, died on Dec. 14, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, surrounded by family after a yearlong battle with cancer.

Born at the Walker Farm, Olin, on May 25, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Spencer Walker and Pearl Childress Walker. She is also preceded in death by: her husband of 57 years, David W. Green; brothers, John, Raymond, James and David; sister, Shirley; and her lifelong childhood friend, Judy Wagner.

She was employed for 15 plus years part-time in the dietary department of the Davie County Hospital. She was a kind, caring and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and friend.

Survivors: 3 sons, Bryan Green (Donna) of Lincolnton, Kevin Green (Lanna) of Walnut Cove, and Matt Green of Mocksville; a daughter, Karen Seamon (Randy) of Mocksville; 8 grandchildren, Derek, Lauryn, Tayler, Will, Zach, Joshua, Madison and Hayden; and a great-granddaughter, Emma.

Graveside services will be conducted at the Salisbury National Cemetery on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 10 a.m.
