More local residents have filed for offices.
Bradley Davis Blackwelder of Mocksville put his name in the race for Davie Register of Deeds. He joins fellow Republicans Kelly Cozart and Ray Tutterow in seeking the nomination on March 3.
Joining incumbent Republican Mark Jones in the race for county commissioner are Justin Alan Vocke of Mocksville, Steven Douglas Corriher of Cooleemee, and incumbent Terry Norris Renegar of Bermuda Run. Voters will nominate three.
Joining Republican incumbent Paul Drechsler in the race for four Davie Board of Education seats is incumbent Wendy Renee Hoots Horne of Advance.
Republican incumbent Julia C. Howard of Mocksville is seeking the nomination for the N.C. House of Representatives.
Republican incumbent Joyce Krawiec of Kernersville is seeking the N.C. Senate nomaination, and is being challenged by Democrat Terri Elizabeth LeGrand of Winston-Salem.
Potential candidates have until noon on Dec. 20 to file.
