Mr. Jack Cecil Trivette, 80, of Speer Road, Mocksville, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

He was born July 12, 1939, in Yadkin County to the late Guy Cicero and Adeline Hauser Trivette. He retired as co-owner of Elmore’s & Trivette Lumber Co. and in his retirement became maintenance supervisor at Mock Place. He was a retired member of William R. Davie Volunteer Fire Department. He was a farmer and gardener who enjoyed sharing his crops with his neighbors and friends, especially tomatoes. He never met a stranger, enjoyed spending time fellowshipping with friends and loved going to Miller’s every day for breakfast. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather whose greatest love was his grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Frank Trivette.

Survivors: his wife of 56 years, Linda Elmore Trivette of the home; a son, Chad Trivette (Carrie) of Mocksville; a daughter, Grace Smith (Wayne) of Raleigh; 4 grandchildren, Jackson Trivette, Coleman Trivette, Annabelle Trivette and Gavin Smith; a brother, John Trivette (Julie) of Jonesville; a special niece, Andrea Elmore; plus several other nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 16 at Bear Creek  Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg McEwen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.. Friday, Nov. 15 at Eaton Funeral Home.
