Cecil Sanford Sain Jr. died on Nov. 12, 2019.

He was born Nov. 27, 1948 to the late Cecil Sanford Sr. and Marjorie Winters Sain. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wendell Sain, and his granddaughter Dallas Marie Sain.

Survivors: his wife of 50 years, Gwen Brooks Sain; sons, Stacy (Sonja) and Joel (Molly); daughter, Cindy Sain; grandchildre,n Teighlor and Seth Sain, Avree Everton and Emilee Bustle, and Noah and Cash Sain, Lukus and McCoy Sams, Christin and Cassidy Sain; sisters, Diane (David) Crotts and Lynn (Gary) Vogler; sister-in-law, Tina Sain; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patty and Joe Smith; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A service celebrating his life will be held at Western Avenue Baptist Church in Statesville on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. with visitation to follow.
