The following cases were disposed of during the October 24 session of Davie District Court. Presiding: Judge Mary F. Covington. Prosecuting: Pearce Dougan and Kaitlyn Jones, assistant DAs.

  • Vivan Riley Alford, felony larceny by employee, reduced to misdemeanor larceny, sentenced to 45 days, suspended 18 months, enroll and complete CBI program, remain on good behavior, do not commit similar offense, stay away from Pizza Hut, $150 restitution to Pizza Hut, cost, $280 attorney fee.
  • Daniel Lee Allard, littering not more than 15 pounds, cost; three counts littering not more than 15 pounds, open container after consuming alcohol first, dismissed per plea.
  • William M. Betz, speeding 90 in a 70, prayer for judgment continued, completed safe driving class; reckless driving to endanger, dismissed per plea.

  • Auburn Odell Clement, allowing unlicensed person to drive, dismissed, judicial economy.
