Katie Elisabeth Seats Shook, 31, of Greenwood, S.C., wife of Chad Shook, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019 at Hospice House.
Born in Yadkinville, she was a daughter of William and Teresa Polk Seats. She was talented in making wreaths and sold them at craft shows at Piedmont Technical College. She was a gifted church musician, playing the bass guitar and piano and was a member of Trinity Baptist Tabernacle.
Survivors: her husband and her sons, Colton Chad Shook and Charlie Case Shook; her parents and brother, Able Seats and his wife Lauren, all of Farmington; grandmother, Ola Mae Seats of Farmington; grandfather, Ralph Polk of Mocksville; mother-in-law, Charlene Fanning and husband Dean, and brother-in-law, the Rev. Jonathan Shook and wife, Rebecca, all of Greenwood.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, the Rev. Dean Shook.
Services were at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 at Trinity Baptist Tabernacle with the Rev. Tony Pettit officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Robert Blizzard, Jamie Frederick, Garnett Latham, Larry Kingsmore, Ken Davis and Jonathan Shook. The family will receive friends at Trinity Baptist Tabernacle on Thursday from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
