Linda Kay (Jones) Branon, 77, of Lexington, died on Oct. 8, 2019 while under hospice care.
She was born Aug. 1, 1942 in Davie County, a daughter to the late John Wesley Jones and Dora Jean Flemming Jones. She graduated from Davie High School, was of the Baptist faith and worked for Dixie Furniture for 15 years.
She was also preceded in death by her husband and her brother, Johnny Jones.
Survivors: a son, Craig Branon (Sherry) of Lexington; 2 daughters, Judy Hicks (Terry) of Winston-Salem and Brenda Sink of Lexington; 8 grandchildren, Nicole Callahan, Emma Kay Branon, Morgan Branon, Aaron Elwood, Theron Hicks, Jameson Hicks, Jessica Sink and Veronica Sink; and 3 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12 from noon-1:30 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension at Fork in Advance. A funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Jeff Perdue and Tommy Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
