The Annual  Davie County NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 7 pm at the Senior Services Center, 278 Meroney St., Mocksville.

A special performance of  The Glory Train will be presented by local talent.

Also, the Humanitarian Award will be presented to entrepreneur  Dorothy Graham for her lifetime achievements.  Recent honorees include Lash Sanford, Julius Suiter and Magalene Gaither.

The organization was formed 110 years ago to work for political, educational, social and economic equality.  Proceeds from the banquet will help fund lobbying for justice on the national level including publicity and litigation.
