Katherine Dwiggins McCormick, 73, of Yadkinville, died on Oct. 4, 2019.

She was born May 16, 1946 in Davie County to the late Rufus Dwiggins Sr. and Pearl Hendren Dwiggins. She is also preceded in death by her brothers – Buck, Bill, John, and Jerry Dwiggins.

Survivors: her husband of 54 years, Franklin McCormick; son, Kenny McCormick; daughter, Jennifer McCormick; sisters, Mildred Phelps, Sue Livengood, Diane (Bill) White; and several nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed working in her yard, hiking and mountain biking, and she loved her family.

The family will receivre friends on Sunday, Oct. 6 from 2-3 p.m. at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A funeral service will be conducted in the Gentry Family Chapel at 3 p.m. with the Revs. Mike Byrd and Mark Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Hanes Grove UMC Cemetery.
