Mr. Gary Wayne Keaton, 68, of Huffman Road, Mocksville, died Wednesday Sept. 25, 2019 at his home.

He was born Nov. 21, 1950 in Davie County to the late Wiley Monroe Keaton and the late Floy Louise Robbins Keaton. He attended Immanuel Baptist Church in Concord.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Wiley “Buddy” Keaton Jr.

Survivors: 2 daughters, Stephanie Groce of Union Grove and Darlene Charles of Lexington; 2 sisters, Carolyn Hoots of Yadkinville and Betty Furr (Paul) of Mocksville; a brother, Tommy Keaton of Mocksville; his fiancé, Kathy Hargett of Concord; a niece, Barbara Boger (Scott); and 3 nephews, Jason Keaton (Amanda), Mark Cable (Angie), and Paul Cable (Tabitha).

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30 at Eaton Funeral Chapel with Dr. Darrell Cox and Pastor Scott White officiating. Burial will follow in Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends Sunday, Sept. 29 at Eaton Funeral Home.
