Charles David “Doodle” Jacobs, 49, of Cooleemee, died on Aug. 21, 2019 at his home.

He was born on Dec. 3, 1969 to the late Mary Funderburke Jacobs and Jerry Wesley Jacobs. He attended Davie County Schools and had worked as a brick mason and doing odd jobs after his health started failing. He was a man of kindness with a gentle heart, always giving to others.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Jacobs.

Survivors: his wife of 24 years, Marilyn Osborne Jacobs; siblings, Lori Waller and Patty Angell; and a special nephew, Matthew Waller of Woodleaf; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be at Woodleaf Baptist Church on Sept. 7 at 2 p.m. officiated by Chris Williams. A covered-dish meal will follow on the grounds.
