He was born July 30, 1936.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Evelyn M. MacDougall.

Survivors: 3 children, Vicki (Alexander) Swain of Winston-Salem, Heath (Stephanie) MacDougall of Harmony and Brandi (Charles) Cook of Lake Worth, Fla.; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews of Rhode Island; his brother, David (Angela) MacDougall of Exeter, R.I. and his sister-in-law, Santa MacDougall of Westerly, R.I.
