Have you noticed the latest addition to the building that will soon house COGNITION of Davie County?

As the capital campaign continues, COGS that each represent $5,000 are being placed on the windows of the facility in order to track the fundraising progress.  Take a glance as you drive through downtown Mocksville and keep up with the development.

This interactive learning center and makerspace is set to open in early 2020. With a mission to create a space where the community can acquire knowledge through adventurous play, investigative learning, and creative growth, the board is working on exhibit designs and achieving the capital campaign goal of $500,000.

“You are invited to be a COG in the wheel of progress by contributing to the capital campaign,” said Madison Hartness,  Davie Community Foundation finance and communications officer. “Be part of the nuts and bolts of COGNITION by making a gift of any size.”

Named COGs may be purchased for display in the space for $5,000, $2,500, or $1,000. Exhibit sponsorships are available. Contact Jane Simpson at 336-753-6903 for questions regarding exhibit sponsorship.

You can also support COGNITION by attending Touch-A-Truck on Sept. 21 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in downtown Mocksville. Have a hands-on, up-close experience with all types of vehicles and enjoy food trucks and a performance by His & Hers.

You will also have a chance to take a peek inside the future home of COGNITION. If you have a vehicle and would like to participate, or if you would like to be a sponsor, email info@cognitiondavie.org.
