Faith Elizabeth Freeman, 92, died at her home on Sunday, Aug, 18, 2019.

She was the daughter of Luther Monroe Freeman and Meekie Ann Steele. Her maternal grandparents were James Alex Steele and Sarah Clementine Towell. Paternal grandparents were Calvin Parsons Freeman and Laura Ann Seamon.

She operated a neighborhood grocery store in Statesville and in Rowan County for many years. She also worked at Fiber Industries before taking early retirement to care for her sister, Esther.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Esther and brothers James, Clarence, Marion, Cody and Arthur.

Survivors: a nephew, Ronnie Freeman; 2 nieces, Jane F. Bateman (Cliff) and Ann F. Steele (Robert); several great-nephews and great-nieces; and by a cousin, Phyllis Reep.

A funeral services is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22 at Corinth Church of Christ with R.D. McDaniel officiating and Jimmy Kinley leading the singing of some of her favorite hymns.
