Mrs. Barbara Ann Fisher Hoover, 93, formerly of Garner Street, Mocksville, died Satuday, Aug. 17, 2019, at Brookdale in Salisbury.

She was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 8, 1926, to the late Fredrick and Florence O’Donnell Fisher.  Mrs. Hoover retired as a nurse and enjoyed playing golf, cooking and playing cards.

She was also preceded in death by: her husband, Frank A. Hoover; and 2 brothers, Paul and James Fisher.

Survivors: 2 daughters, Carol Raymond (James Ratcliff) of Mooresville and Tobie Arnold (Jim) of Mocksville; 6 grandchildren, Carrie Merner (Mark), Chrissy Cicuto (Randy) and Cristy Culpepper (Will); 6 great-grandchildren, Masun Braun, Gabriella Cicuto, Aidan Merner, Alessia Cicuto, William Culpepper and Grant Merner; 2 siblings, Marilyn Neff and Fred Fisher (Phyllis) all of Springfield, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with the Rev. Eric Kowalski officiating. The family will receive friends following at the home of her daughter, 449 No Creek Road, Mocksville. Inurnment will be later at Rose Cemetery.
