On July 17, Davie County Recreation and Parks sponsored a Mobile Recreation Day.
Whitney Fitzsimons and Jordan Paige hopped out of their vehicles and dumped several game paraphernalia on the ground, which proved they were there to play and have fun.
After a brief introduction, Fitzsimons and Paige led the group to playing baseball with a soft rubber ball. Four castors on a plastic square allowed the kids to lie on their tummy and capture as many balls under the bucket without using their hands. It wasn’t as easy as it looked.
The water balloon toss was fun and on such a hot day they didn’t mind getting wet. Bottled water was provided.
Water base kick ball was fun and all ages played well together.
After two hours of getting their game on, they ended with a tug of war.
Thank you DCRP for bringing the event to our town. Fitzsimons and Paige were great by making the day fun and relating to the kids in a comfortable way.
