The words were music to county commissioner’s ears: “on time and under budget.”
County utilities director Johnny Lambert was talking about the $14 million Northeastern Davie Sewer project to county commissioners last month.
The site for the pump station near the Yadkin River just downriver from Bermuda Run has been cleared. Crews in Forsyth County are installing the 20-inch forced main sewer line from the Muddy Creek treatment station to the river.
And crews are finishing boring under the river, where the lines will go.
The project includes doing away with the Jeffco pump station on US 158.
Lambert showed commissioners a video of the project from Highfill Infrastructure, and said the boring rig is 52-feet long.
