Esther Evelyn Gadberry, 77, of Mocksville, died on July 23, 2019 while under the care of Trellis Supportive Care in Winston-Salem.
She was born July 24, 1941 in Yadkin County, a daughter to the late Luna Evelyn Gadberry Sales. She attended Yadkin County Schools. She was preceded in death by her mother and 2 brothers, Lamon Sales Sr. and Billy Ray Sales.
She worked as a sewer at Coolemee Mills. She was also a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church. She loved listening to music and reading.
Survivors: a daughter, Carolyn Sloan of Mocksville; step-daughter, Beverly Young of Macon, Ga.; step-son, Daryl Young of Salisbury; sisters, Helen Sales Lewis, Caldonia Evans, Mamie Sales Watkins and Linda Sales.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 26 from 11 a.m.-noon at the Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Farmington. A funeral service will follow at noon, also at the church, with the Rev. Coker Stewart officiating. Burial will be held at the church cemetery.
