Shirley Ann Willis, 82, of Mocksville died on June 30, 2019 in Advance while under the care of Wellcare Hospice.

She was born July 7, 1936 in Elkhorn City, Ky., a daughter to the late Noble Brooks and Lillian Phipps Brooks. She married Frankford Dean Willis in 1954 and spent her life as a homemaker.

She was also preceded in death by: her brother, Dale Phipps; her sister, Bernice Sloan; and a granddaughter, Jamie Diane.

Survivors: her husband of 64 years, Frankford Dean Willis; sons, Frankford Dean Willis Jr. of Lexington, and John W. Willis (Melonie) of Salisbury; daughters, Sarah Dianne Mills of Mocksville, Donna Gail Landis (Ron) of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Deborah Sue Williams (Danny) of Abingdon, Md.; brother, Noble Brooks (Sandra) of Clarksville, Va.; sister, Lucy Campbell of New Hampshire; and 9 grandchildren.

A visitation was held on Wednesday, July 3 from 1-2 p.m. at the Davie Funeral Service Chapel in Mocksville. A funeral service followed at 2  with the Rev. Timothy Sink officiating. Burial was at Rose Cemetery.
