Janet Ruth Eldridge, 80, of Mocksville, died on June 23, 2019 at CMC Charlotte.

She was born July 3, 1939 in Tazewell, Va., a daughter to the late Clayborn H. Jones and Grace Virginia Nunley Jones.

She was also preceded by: Lou Juanita Jones, Robert Hanes Jones, John Pyott Jones, Naomi Lockhart and Delilah Farmer.

She worked for ASMO in Statesville. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors: her sons, William Winebarger of High Rock Lake, and Dean Winebarger of Marion, Va.; daughter, Jeanne Taylor of Olin; brother, C.H. Jones Jr. of Horsepen, Va.; sisters, Martha Wilson of Centralia, Wash., Nada Pearl DeHart of Winchester, Va., Barbara Lockheart of Horsepen, Helen Evans of Oklahoma City, Okla., Frances Mason of Alexandria, Va. and Geraldine Oldham of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Chris, Elena, Julius and Mahalie Winebarger, Cody and Katelyn Taylor; and 5 great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 29 from 5-8 p.m. at Reavis Funeral Home of Statesville.
