Mr. David Owens Malloy Sr., 89, of Jamestown, died on Thursday, June 27, 2019.

He was born March 19, 1930, in Caswell County to the late Clyde Malloy and Alverta Sams. He was married to the late Jane Gray Malloy and retired from both Cone Mills & the Union County Stadium & Airport (SC). He was a member of Moriah United Methodist Church in Greensboro. I

He was also preceded in death by: a step-mother, Gladys Malloy; 4 brothers and 2 sisters, Rudolph Lawson, CW Malloy, Buddy Malloy, Laurence Sams, Louise Fargis and Doris Malloy.

Survivors: 2 daughters, Julie Malloy Copeland (Brooks) of Greensboro and Polly Malloy Sherfield of Union, S.C.; a son, David Owens Malloy Jr. (Anita) of Climax; a brother, Homer Malloy of Summerfield; a sister, Betty Malloy Stever (David) of Summerfield; and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a granddog, Hamilton.

A private family graveside service will be conducted at Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Advance.
