Mrs. Theresa Helen Ridge Huddleston, 88, died on Friday, May 31, 2019 at SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin.

She was born June 8, 1930 in Forsyth County to the late Calvin and Maggie Lorene Trantham Ridge. he graduated from Gray High School in 1948, where she played soccer for three years. She retired from W-S/FCS in 1990 after 20 years, where she managed cafeterias. Baking was a passion of hers at work and home. She was a devoted Methodist and was a longtime member of Central Terrace UMC of Winston-Salem and a current member of Bethlehem UMC in Advance. She loved to skate and met her husband at the skating rink.  They went on to teach all their children and grandchildren to roller skate and it is still a favorite family activity.

She is also preceded in death by a sister, Donnie Gordon.

Survivors: her husband of 61 years, J.C. Huddleston, and their children, Karen Boyles (Tom), Steve Huddleston (Sarah), Cheryl Driver (Tim), and Mike Huddleston (Annette); her grandchildren, Christopher Reavis (Katie), Stephanie Huddleston (Bryan London), Lauren Ware (Lance), Scott Huddleston (Brittany), Ashley Stombaugh (Matthew), Kendall Driver, and Crystal Wilson (Dustin); 6 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Clara Norton (“Spud”).

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, June 3 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel by Dr. Chuck Baker and the Rev. Jimmy Lancaster. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
