Jesus Yadiel Hernandez-Pastor, 4, of Statesville, died on May 3 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

He was born Nov. 8, 2014 in Tepetixtla, Guerrero, Mexico, a son to Pedro Hernandez-Rodriguez and Azul Yacarandaz Pastor-Luna.

Survivors: his parents; his brother, Brian Hernandez-Pastor; and his extended family.

A visitation was to be held on Wednesday, May 8 from 6-10 p.m. at the Davie Funeral Service Chapel in Mocksville. A Mass of Christian Burial was to be held on Thursday, May 9 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Eric Kowalski officiating. Burial was to follow at Rose Cemetery.
