Robert Lynn Hanna 74, of Mocksville, died on May 3, 2019 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston-Salem.

He was born July 21, 1944 in Laporte, Ind., the son of the late Floyd and Bernice (Todd) Hanna. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Brian Hanna.

He attended schools in Indiana, and worked as a self-employed carpenter before going to work as a machinist with Ingersoll Rand of Mocksville, until he retired in 2008. He  attended Heaven Bound Full Gospel Church. He enjoyed gardening, walking his dog, and loved animals.

Survivors: his wife Peggy (Potts) Hanna of Mocksville; daughters, Dawn Mitchell (Al) of Laporte, Rachael Hanna of Sarasota, Fla., and step-daughter Jennifer Lynde (Jerry) of Mocksville; brothers, Jerry Hanna (Lucille) of Mill Creek, Ind., Charles Hanna (Phyllis) of Kingsbury, Ind.; sister, Sandra Smith (Terry) of Walkerton, Ind.; 8 grandchildren; and his dog Fanny.

Visitation was held Saturday, May 4 in the Davie Funeral Service Chapel, with a celebration of life service at 3 p.m. with Pastor James Ward and the Rev. Jerry Lynde officiating.
